Joey, as always, you have a dazzling array of classic photos on tap! I’m especially pleased with the scenes from LAURA, SEANCE ON A WET AFTERNOON, and I must admit I kinda have Claudette Colbert and Mary Astor on the brain, since both these lovely and talented ladies co-star in my pick for the Mary Astor Blogathon, THE PALM BEACH STORY – but seeing Colbert as Cleopatra, I’m that much more impressed with her, as well as her costumes! :-)
I can’t wait to read your take on The Palm Beach Story for the Mary Astor Blogathon… I’m glad you like this installment of Postcards from Shadowland too. It’s become quite a little artistic treat for me to dabble in, watching the confluence of images merge together.
Just watched Gene Tierney in Personal Affair which was quite good. She is so lovely. Now that I’m a little more caught up on things, I need to read Tales of the Easily Distracted’s Nightmare Alley piece. I’ve been meaning to do that. But it’s been all about Mary these past few days… Don’t you just love that pic of Claudette!!!
Hope you have the most wonderful weekend. We’ll have to keep in touch while the Blogathon is going on and we’re all showing love to Miss Astor… Cheers my wonderfully erudite and cheerful friend
