A Trailer A day keeps the Boogeyman away! Basket Case 1982

Basket Case 1982

A young man carrying a big basket that contains his deformed Siamese-twin brother seeks vengeance on the doctors who separated them against their will.

One of my all time favorite 80s horror for sure…

Frank Henenlotter’s wonderfully unique and campy horror excursion into the realm of surgical nightmares, brotherly love,  ‘separation anxiety’ and the self made man…Starring Kevin Van Hentenryck and Belial who brings a whole new level of shocks and shivers and a slight fear of play-doh! I really really wish that Henenlotter would commission Sideshow Toys, MacFarlane, Entertainment Earth or ThinkGeek to make a Belial plushy doll. I wouldn’t be able to resist!

“What’s in the basket?…What’s in the basket?…What’s in the basket?”

It’s in the Basket! Happy Trailers! MonsterGirl

Friday’s Trailer to keep the Boogeyman away! Where Danger Lives (1950)

A consummate entry in the film noir canon Directed by John Farrow, starring two of my favorite actors the rugged  Robert Mitchum, the sublime Claude Rains, and the very lovely Faith Domergue as the movie’s femme fatale.

A young doctor falls in love with a fatal attraction, a disturbed young woman, who becomes involved in the death of her husband and has to flee with her to the Mexican border.

“She’s tempting in a penthouse and dangerous in a border town dive!”

Jeff Cameron: Look, I want you, not the money.

Margo: Money can help. It’d be awfully tough for a young doctor, Jeff.

Jeff Cameron: I’ve aged considerably in the last five minutes.

Margo: Poverty’s sordid. If you were broke…

Jeff Cameron: I will be, I promise you.

Margo- “Nobody Pities me!”
