Happy Belated Birthday to my all time favorite Bette Davis April 5th:
in the words of Olivia de Havilland, she was “A Basically Benevolent Volcano”
Here’s to you Bette Davis, there will never be another quite like you…love Joey

Joey, thanks for the belated Happy Birthday to the incomparable Bette Davis! My favorites among her many films include THE LETTER, WATCH ON THE RHINE, ALL ABOUT EVE, and the delightfully loopy, underrated SATAN MET A LADY, a playful take on THE MALTESE FALCON! :-D
We just watched All About Eve recently. Hands down some of the best dialogue ever. I adore Bette Davis, there is no one quite like her. I haven’t seen Satan Met A Lady, but I now must track it down as I’d love to chat with you about it. I’m gearing up for Mary Astor speaking of The Maltese Falcon….
Happy Belated Birthday, Bette! I love her in absolutely EVERYTHING, especially “The Letter”. I love how she storms out of the house in the opening scene, coldly firing shots into that poor slob as he tries to flee.
