Joey, I agree wholeheartedly with your praise of Finney. He was always a honest no b.s. actor and generous to fellow artists. Steve Frears and Lindsay Anderson were helped by him.
Today on theguardian.com Culture section there is a rememberance of Albert Finney by Mike Figgis and Malcolm McDowell. Also links to other Guardian articles re: Finney. He also was a great interview on talk shows. Thankfully we have the treasure of his acting preserved on film.
